is it wet there? if not, what is with the reflection on the tarmac and whatever the vertical streaks are on the runway in the landing pic??
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

That's supposed to be the Grand Canyon?

I actually know the area from hiking - doesn't really look like that (it pretty much looks like in FG - the local geology is very much characterized by horizontal bands, not vertical stripes).

No problem download free photoreal scenery for better visuals or use ProxyTile mod.

TileProxy :

Tileproxy is licence problematic piece of software at the edge of the law, because use tiles from map servers like google, landsat etc.

Using google Earth for this purpose without explicit permission is not at the edge of the law, it's plain illegal.

Probably, author of the TileProxy has permissions for this purpose. Otherwise, Google and others would take legal action against the TileProxy authors. Or he is using free sources.
