Board index FlightGear Support Installation Mac

./fgfs: No such file or directory

Installing FlightGear, scenery, aircraft etc. on Mac.

./fgfs: No such file or directory

When I open flight gear with the normal application icon (in the application folder), everything boots as is expected. However, if I want to use my Saitek Switch Panel, I have to open it with option httpd=5000

I follow the instructions in the manual:

cd /Applications/FlightGear.app/Contents/Resources
./fgfs

And it says:

-bash: ./fgfs: No such file or directory

When I inspect the folder I can indeed confirm that there is no fgfs folder present. I must be doing something wrong, but at the moment... I am clueless.

Can you inspect the path that your "application icon" is using and duplicate it or edit it?
Is it possible to add the parameter --httpd=5000 to it?

Is this a Mac?

Yeah it's a Mac path - the binary fgfs will be in /Applications/FlightGear.app/Contents/MacOS
