Back into the Shuttle : Holiday In Easter Island

Some nice holidays in Space, time to come back to..... Easter Island secret AFB base ahah

Planification of the Deorbit Burn Parameters, I love the new window with Temp in F. Easy quick glance

Hello India

Image

By far my prefer lighting configuration ( and most readable instrument wise)

Image

Deorbit burn in Progress, not as easy as in a modern aircraft for parameters monitoring
280 feet/s to loose to bring perigee roughly 40 km above the island half an orbit later

Image

Image

Very good burn, Entry Interface in 20 mn at 3900 Nm from the target.
Almost like in the book

Image

Aurora Borealis

Image

Waiting for the entry, position looks good and sun is rising

Image

Entry begins, good track and distance, works well

Image

Burning like hell, plasma glowing

Image

Image

TAEM interface, quite overclouded

Image

HAC time, on track,

Image

Those clouds look like they were painted

Image

Still full IMC, virtual runway in sight ( but no MLS system in Easter Island)

Image

I fear the worst concerning State vector error, and indeed after a clear weather, we have a situation xD

Image

Small sidestep, low on energy ,

Image

Just just but ok

Cool trip, love the small fixes that make the game even more playable and deep

I remember just the same thing on my last try at Easter Island - lots of clouds, and by the time I passed the layer, I was quite a bit off... (I was under a lot of stress anyway because I had to fly the whole entry manually because of an AP malfunction).

Just just but ok

In this however you did better - I crashed in my attempt :(

I find it amazing how well designed the procedures are - there's always some room for bad things to happen and still you have a chance.
