New Boeing 757-200

Postby jormapaappa1235 » Fri Apr 05, 2013 5:13 pm

Hi,

I'm also doing my own version of 757-200. The modeling isn't ready yet, but i began to think how to use xml, create animations and use instruments. This is my very first real model and i've been doing it for several weeks now.
Anyway, here are some pictures of it:

Cabin, business class almost done:

And the most important: TOILET! (can be easily deleted if no use)

Any help will be welcome!

Seems like a good start i want to get back to a bit of graphical work liveries etc? I hope you add some kind of bump- or normalmap. I really like the 757 unfortunately there wasn't really a good version of it, until now?

The nose looks kind of weird. But this could be attributed to the perspective used in the screenshot.

Allright guys,
Here is some textured area

Image

What do you like? Is there something what could be better? White areas are not textured yet.

Edit: flaps number corrected. In the picture it is 1 - 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 -25 -30. It should be 0 - 1 - 5 - 15 -20 - 25 - 30

Try using some photo-realistic textures for better detail...

I'll give it a try. Where have you found that good textures? Are they from some real picture and have you edited them hard?

BTW, you have done simply awesome model, maybe little better yokes would be super. :)

That's my 3D model but the textures are used from an incompatible license source which is why the aircraft isn't available anymore or in development either way. If you want the bits that are compatible with the GNU GPL licenses, let me know.

Btw, it shouldn't be too difficult to find photorealistic textures - http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=757+cockpit&title=Special%3ASearch

Yea, i'm using one of those. This is what i was able to do with it:

Why is it so hard to fit everything to their places D: I'm still a ******* novice...

Edit: Could you send some pictures of the mechanism under the seats?

Some news: i remodeled the engines and textured more... things. Don't mind some of the textures, i just wanted to make some fun of my friend's images :D

Omega95, could you send some pictures of your wonderful seats? How do I cut holes beautifully to the fuselage for cabin windows?

Edit: how many overhead lockers does the 757 have? I can't find it anywhere... -.-

It seems a very exciting project, but you can increase the number of polygons, as with most advanced planes found in X-Plane?

I will try it in some day, but right now the biggest problem are the textures. I thought if there were any performance limits in Flightgear so I didn't put as much polygons everywhere as possible.
Right now i am re-applying almost all textures in AC3D, cos' Blender exports for some reason only a few images. :) I think this will never be as advanced as the best X-plane planes but i will try my best. They have pictures of their own (?) and i've got Wikipedia & Gimp :D

How do I get correct coordinates for xml files? I would want to start playing with them to get even some animations. Is it possible with blender? I've seen some videos of it, but i don't understand them completely

Will it be with winglets? :)
I'm sure that the plane will be popular! :)
