MP Problems on Mac, FG 2.0 - Fixed

Postby Oscar » Sun Aug 15, 2010 12:52 am

Hey,

As the title says, I'm having multiplayer problems on my Mac, running FlightGear 2.0. The problem actually started when I went from 1.9.1 to 2.0.

This is what I do: I keep all setting the same as I did in 1.9.1:

That still works when I'm running my FG 1.9.1 (which runs off an external harddrive). I already tried out all servers, 1 to 13, different aircraft, airport, callsign. But it doesn't work.
My aircraft doesn't show up on the MP map and I can't see any other aircraft.

Could it maybe the "Your Mac" or something? Which would be weird because it's the same in 1.9.1 and there it works...

If someone could help me out on this, it would be awesome!

Thanks!

Does the Mac launcher show the command line options it starts FG with like FGRun?

Leave the IP address box empty. That should fix it.

I agree. Every time my Mac wakes from sleep, it gets a new IP address from the router. 1.9.1 ignores the Launcher and finds the IP correctly on its own, but 2.0 uses whatever is in the box, unless it's empty. You may need to clear the box every time, btw.
