AC-130 [RELEASED] V 0.3 (See Last Posts for Updates.)

Postby jack » Fri Aug 06, 2010 4:00 am

I've seen a LOT of requests for an AC-130 lately, so I decided to begin work on making one. I have begun converting helijah's C130(thanks go to him for an excellent aircraft) into an AC-130U. In the next Update, I will make a USAF livery.

Here is what I have so far:

This is very early in my development. Next I will make the Guns fire, the 40mm and 105mm guns recoil, and the 25mm barrel rotate. I will also add in computer systems(working), cameras, and several radar systems.

Nice work :)

Especially do not forget to send me everything, so I can add to the current C130 and place it on GIT. My email address is on my site.

Best regards. Emmanuel

Will do Emmanuel.

I've discovered that it is almost impossible to find pictures of an AC-130 Fire Control System/Panel, so I'll have to do my best to recreate what I'd think it would look like. I made a few computer monitors that I'll use for the surveillance and gun camera displays.

I've completed the weapons themselves, and am working on animating recoils/rotating barrels. I'll probably be able to get a 0.1 release version out within a week.

If I am not mistaken those are big guns on the side of that aircraft. :D I know what I will be flying. lol
Nice job so far. Note: Don't raise the bar too high there is not much cooler than a big plane with guns on it.

Thanks! That is the only useable picture I've seen yet. Looks like the cockpit development will be fairly easy.

Nice job looks good. I suck at constructive criticism, too easily impressed.

I know it's not AC-130 but you can have an early RAF version when I've finished it.

I found some fire button on the net:

A good flight sim is not to make people feel fly easier but to make them feel fly is as real as it get.
