Las Vegas McCarran Intl (KLAS)

Everyone, I'm pleased to announce my next scenery project: KLAS, which I feel is pretty important to have given its importance as a major US international airport.



Not exactly photorealistic, but it's a good start, no?

Unfortunately, this project will probably take a back seat to the A320 and things happening IRL, so I won't be able to progress as quickly as I usually would. But rest assured, I'll keep you posted, and if I'm unable to continue, all work will be released under public domain/GPL.

Nope. Here's what happened: looked at KDEN for next project, saw really complicated buildings, chickened out. Thought about KPHL but remembered kylek14 was in the process of doing that airport (though he seems inactive ATM). KLAS seemed nice and easy.

EDIT: Martin is also away on vacation until August 20, so no hurry.

I don't know if I'm right but Rheno (KRNO) seems much easier, and we don't have a big intl airport in the moutains like that in Western US. Infact might even be all of the US. The scenery is quite unqiue. It's it's only 280nm from KSFO.

Finished the Charter International Terminal (terminal 2):



The taxiway layout is off, not the terminal! Honest!

Next up is Concourse C. That's all I'll be able to do, since there's no (GPL-compatible) satellite imagery that shows the new Concourse D.

You could always orthorectify the FAA pdf to match, say, Google Earth. I believe the official FAA diagrams are public domain, but I'll have to check.

Will submit these models into the Scenery Database when Martin gets back from vacation on the 20th, after which they will be available through Terrasync. I'm not offering a direct download like KLAX due to technical reasons.

KLAS is now available through Terrasync. Well, sort of, the jetways are missing- I've informed Martin and that should be fixed by tomorrow.
