xsaint, I applaud for trying to make to make the cockpit as realistic as possible compared to the real thing instead of sticking the almost generic being glass cockpit in there.

I'm so glad someone has decided to do the IL-96. Well done xsaint!

It's a classic looking airline, and probably has never received the recognition it deserves.

I'll definitely be flying this once it's complete.

One thing, will you be basing the flight dynamics around the B777?

There are some similaries btwn 777 and IL-96 and there are many diff as well...eg..4 engines to 2....4 gear sets to 3....diff weight/fuel...etc....
In the end. i will expect IL-96 to have a character of its own....

cheers

Looking good Xsaint! Let's hope it "feels" quite as good...
Btw, wouldn't this be a nice project for some newbie-developer to work on; improving tiny bits at a time? Before one starts creating its own aircraft from scratc, one should first try to improve other's...

Would be cool to place a fan at your desktop and hook it up to the fan-property, so you can actually feel the breeze. This would also work with opencockpit aircraft, based on the (wind)speed :)

Thanks Gijs....

It is feeling too different and heavy right now.... Either it tries to lift its nose when running down at 80kts or if i manage to counter that with more ballast, it looses its climb rate.il's 4 engines total thrust seems way lower than total thrust of 777. It somehow survives because it tends to have better lift properties on the wings....

These are just initial problems....surely will be solved in next few days....

cheers!
