It was very difficult to find some usable blueprints for this baby, so I'll share this with you:

1. Looks good, but the engines are a bit long.
2. Winglets are a bit off.
3. Virtual cockpit question: Are you going to include the flight engineer panel or not? Because the flight engineer is optional in the Il-96-400.

Yup! My fault, I've send him an unfinished model of Il-96-400, but it's all fixed by now. Don't blame the FDM guy:)
It was interesting job to combine some bad blueprints...
You can check the final model version without liveries:

This may sound like a stupid question, but why is it, so many planes on FG have the boeing cockpit? instead of there own?

Or are you just using it at a guide? just wondering (No offence meant to be taken by you, or anyone :-))

But anyhow, looks good so far, keep it up :-)

Ya are you going to just stick the 777 cockpit in there like you did with the 739ER? Also, I think the model could use a little smoothing in blender.

Except for some little details, it IS about the same:
Image

But is would be nice, if you differ your cockpit from that in the Boeing cockpit, even if there are only some few details (middle-console, Autopilot, backup-artificial horizon...)

Imho, gears are wrong. In RL, IL-96 has nose strut and 3 main struts. you can see small photo here: http://airwar.ru/enc/craft/il96.html
