Anyone hear of this?

MIT software solutions?

They're selling flight gear, and apparently saying "This item is copyrighted. Any reproduction, duplication or resale of any kind is strictly prohibited." in the copyright section.

I reported the listing to Ebay as well as 3 additional listings that I found that were identical to the one you linked, but were offered by 3 different seller ID's (all claiming copyright).

No need to be honest. After-all, it still violates GPL.

Well technically selling FlightGear is not illegal. It is using our screenshots and other stuff that is.

Distributing FlightGear without complying with the terms of the GNU Public License version 2 (or later) is also a copyright violation.
Proving that a violation has occured can be difficult, though.

Correct and I don't see us having the money to actually take these people to court....... So maybe a license change would be good for us.

It may be overreacting, but everyone is getting fed up with their hard work being sold when they designed it for all to use.

Yup. I wonder if Flight Pro Sim comes with extra liveries. And if it does, any of mine? Even though I release them GPL and I undertand that someone could take them it just isn't right. Argh!

Why? The GPL was chosen with full knowledge that it grants the right to modify, redistribute, use commercially, sale for profit, etc...

Who is everyone? If you don't want your work to be redistributed, used commercially, or sold for profit...then don't license it under the GPL.

Why would I be mad? As long as they follow the terms of the gpl they are more than welcome to do so. Distributing work under a license that gives people the right to do something, and then pissing and moaning, calling them thieves, getting angry, etc, etc when they exercise that right makes no sense at all.
