Hello,
i´m using Win10 and FG Vers. 2020.3.9. If I´m flying for example a 757-200 or 300 I see the landing lights. But when i´m using a 777-200 or 747-400 for example i don´t see the lights. Yes, i have check the switch on the panel. They are on. How can I see the lights at the planes ? Here you have 2 screenshots. Thanks in advance.

can you go into an outside view by pressing v and check if the light "lamps" themselves are visible / lit ?

can confirm, with ALS, 777-300 has lights modelled, but no actual light can be seen on tarmac.

and this is for 787-8:

like, there is lights, but too dim and short.

Citation II Sierra:

there is lights on the model, but no actual lighting on the ground.

and so on and so forth. Some planes is ok, like 707 (acceptable), or C172 (very dim lights on ALS).

I can only speak for the Citation II, but this aircraft has never a ALS light on tarmac.
And no, i will not improve it because FG introduce a new rendering (Compositor) in the next version.
So it is waste of time if we improve the lights in FG 2020.3.x.
If it is possible for you to install version 2020.4 (thats the development of the next version) ?
In FG 2020.4 the Citation II has allready the new Compositor lights.
Maybe the other aircraft are also improved for 2020.4.

Have you downloaded the Citation II from trunk hanger?
The aircraft in the 2020.3 hangar doenst have the compositor lights, because FG 2020.3 doesnt support it.

Hi, the landing lights in the .ac models are deprecated, the 777 uses ALS (FG 2020.3.17 and below) and compositor (FlightGear 2020.4.0) procedural landing lights, which means they are not tied to the model, but drawn by the FlightGear rendering engine. They are defined in the 777/Models/Lights/light-coneC.xml and /light-coneLR.xml files. Can you check if modifying these files does anything? I had ALS lights on FG 2020.3.x last time I checked, will investigate further.

seeing the landing lights may be as simply as turning up the model slider in the rendering details... certainly be sure to also be using the ALS pipeline...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Alas I'm unable to reproduce the issue. The ALS landing, taxi, strobe and bcn lights do appear at my side in FG 2020.3.13 and FG 2020.3.17. The compositor landing, taxi, rwy turnoff, strobe, nav and bcn lights do appear in FG 2020.4.0. Can you share a screenshot of your 'rendering settings' dialog so we can compare?
