After having done a few flights with the Dash8A (Q100) I like the aircraft a lot, FDM appears to be very close to what I observe while watching cockpit views of the real thing in youtube etc.
A few issues are troubling me:
In the HSI there is no course deviation bar, so it is not possible to fly NAV or APP to VOR / ILS manually.
In the Autopilot panel the HSI SEL knob doesn't change between LOC or RNAV, I'm not quite sure if it should, anyway I haven't found out yet how I can toggle NAV1 from RNAV to VOR/ILS.
My observation to the yaw damper is confusing: While on it should be easy to do a decent turn without slip manually and in autoflight. The inclinometer shows quite the opposite: With yaw damper "on" in autoflight the inclinometer shows slip and I can hardly fly a decent turn with aileron and rudder, with yaw damper "off" manual turn is easy as usual and in autoflight turn the inclinometer's ball is in the middle showing turn without any slip.
I can do with the latter issues, the missint course deviation bar in the HSI is a major problem for me.
Yours, Oswald
