This is my best landing so far, or I should say, the AP ILS best landing !

Gusty crosswind and dangerous decision to not go around and divert? (In essence due to "get-there-itis".)

IAUIC autoland systems are quite much more limited than manual landings when it comes to crosswind and gust limits.

Yes, here's one.
If you can help me avoid this it'll be appreciated.
Thank you

I think the problem in that video, where the airplane inexplicably turns just as it reaches the runway, is a known autoland problem.

[I think it's something to do with the same autoland beacon working in both directions on the same runway.]

Here are some links that have more info:

Hope that helps,

The runway 04R/22L has a ILS on both ends on frequenzy 108.70.
This is no problem in reality, because only the ILS for the runway in use is active.
But in FG it should be possible to land where ever you want, so all ILS systems are active.
This leads in a reception problem and confused nav radios.
Therefor FG has a dirty fix. You receive a valid signal only in front of the runway.
If you pass the threshold, the reception is gone. This result in undefined behavior of the AP.

Hey V12,
can you put a link for that Concorde in this thread? It looks cool. :)

For the one in FGAddon, you should be able to use the launcher to download it (you might have to "open up" the quality filters to see it though). There is also the infobox in the FlightGear wiki article. Additionally is also the Concorde with improved cockpit by fmanu, see this post, or the one by V12, see this post.

It may look cool, but it is a handful to fly. I highly recommend reading the FlightGear wiki page.

(Did not even have to use Google to find the repositories, just a forum search.  )

Pancho, nice landing!

What settings did you use to brake the plane on landing (autobrakes, reverse thrust etc.)?

My best autoland practise is turn off autopilot and autothrottle over the runway treshold and touchdown manual.

And my Concorde is here https://github.com/BAWV12/Concorde

Please read wiki article at http://wiki.flightgear.org/Concorde
this plane needs special handling.
