Very nice work! Is that a lightmap on the fuselage?

All external lights are Rembrandt, as are the flood lights inside... You don't get the goodies on regular renderer.

Ah, I see.
Be aware that Rembrandt is getting removed - I wouldn't waste too much effort on it, especially when ALS + Compositor can look far better ;)

Sure thing, but since I ruled out lightmaps and I couldn't find documentation on compositor, Rembrandt is still the only official way to do deferred rendering :/

Rembrandt was supposed to be defunct in fg 2019 versions.

Aww, I have fallen in love with rembrandt. :-(
Love the dynamic shadows.

Compositor will have shadows. Have your patience for it!

Compositor seems to be the best thing since sliced bread indeed ! :D
I don't mind having to rework the configuration files as flightgear evolves. After all this is what we had to do when Rembrandt came.
Is there anything that can be done to help the development ?

Hey, I just spent two days flying a balloon from Edinburgh to Copenhagen. I have patience. :-)

unless i've misunderstood something, i don't think "ALS+compositor" is a thing... my understanding is that compositor combines rembrandt and ALS plus some additional features/capabilities...

"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

This has the last (most recent) download link, which is the same as the one I have currently - it works but has a few issues with the canvas dialogs

Got a beginning of metallic paint effect.
Also working on adjusting gloss and reflectivity on all the liveries to look more realistic. Unfortunately that forces to create a new variant for each livery (i.e. as it is bound to a shader effect, you can't change liveries on the fly, only at start time).
I guess this has to be accepted as a limitation (other sims have the same limitation)

If you bind it to a property that the livery sets surely you can change it runtime?
