Just a small thing as I would like to take Pictures from White ET after MECO.

The White ET is becoming Orange again after MECO, is there an easy fix or somewhere to look in the files for that?

Thank you

Hum, I don't know why that would be? Is MECO the catilyst or something else, say ET separation?

Ah yes indeed, at ET sep it reverts to orange, not before.

OK, that makes more sense. I'll see if I can find the failure point.

Is that visually only, ie; have you looked in the GUI at the ET color choice and watched to see if it changes?
Can you change it back to White after the ET SEP changes it to orange?
Can you report back the value of /sim/model/livery/index before and after ET SEP?

I already answered those questions so don't bother. Thorsten, do the liveries apply to the "ballistics" models?

I've noticed that a while ago, and it's pretty vexing, it seems we really need a second model xml assigning the different color to the tank and use that dependent on a property flag - to my knowledge we can not re-use the existing ballistic tank model.

So a second ballistics model.xml tied to say "livery/index" property or whatever flag we have for orange vs white tank. I'll have to do some digging (studying), it's been awhile since I messed with ballistics models and assigning them.

The tank is not a standard FG ballistic submodel (they do not orbit) - it is a Nasal-controlled co-orbiting object.

Oh, I've just solved the sound issue by accident. I wanted to play with the heli view to remove the automatic roll and changing lines in that section made the sound reappearing.

Edit: After removing the autosave_2019.2.0.xml, my sound issues are back (what I wrote was wrong, unfortunately).

@Thorsten, do you remember why you added the following material animation to the "white" tank only?
Never mind, I think the orange tank didn't really need any material changes.

Code: Select all

OK, it was easy enough to add another et.ac model called etw.ac and duplicate the file external-tank-disconnected.xml to external-tank-disconnectedw.xml with a condition on which to use based on livery index. Beware however that you still can't change the livery once the tank has been separated. I'll try to get it pushed to dev branch after I do a few more tests.
