Screenshots in JPG?

Postby D-ECHO » Sat Sep 14, 2019 5:36 pm

Hi!
As it's very useful for uploading screenshots on the forum/discord/..., could we maybe add a function to select whether the screenshot is saved as .png or .jpg?
I've tried understanding how the code of this part works, any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Doesn't exactly answer your question, but Imagemagick is available for every major OS.
Code: Select all
convert screenshot.png screenshot.jpg
OSM buildings for LOWI, EDDC
Custom scenery for VHXX YMML
Edit .stg via the FG Object Placement Tool

I've got some old code that works with image file conversion, really simple programming. I think it is in PHP and was used in part of my personal custom website. Would that be of any use?

Another option: upload to imgur, copy the direct image link, change extension from "png" to "jpg", and imgur will convert automatically, like so:

If you look at the image info it is still in PNG format, you just changed the filename to have a JPG extension.
