Using vertical speed rather than pitch angle the speed of climb is fine. Two other things, is there a way of having at least 2 flap positions the one full flaps reduces speed considerably. The other issue is I flew it using AP for the first time and whilst it follows the course I get no Morse sound. It lands OK using localiser but no audible. I know the plane has sound, such as if I forget to put gear down.

Currently there's just up or down.
Speed primarily depends on attitude, so lower the nose to increase airspeed.
For approaches it's easiest to use the trim wheel to establish a good hands-off glide speed. The basic principle is that attitude controls airspeed and power controls altitude.
However, when using autopilot for the ILS (assuming it's controlling pitch), it will raise or lower the nose, attempting to maintain glide path. In that case you must use throttle to maintain a constant speed. Otherwise, if you are low, causing the autopilot to raise the nose, speed will drop off , and you must add power. Conversely, if the autopilot lowers the nose to stay on glide path, you must reduce power or speed will increase.
