Well - you could try the airport chart published by NATS - which I also linked in this topic?

You can get it by registering at https://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/fwf-ead ... .home.page. It asks for a pilots license number, but if you scroll down to license type "----" this is bypassed.
Once logged in, go to "Prepare my Flight" and select airfield EGJJ.

The map I see is this:

271 -- 274 -- 277 - 272

This might help to see it:

OK, show me a pic of your aircraft on approach to the new graded runway in your FG sim.

Edit: I gotta ask. The airport map and data shows rwy08/26, and the runway there (and Google Earth) shows rwy09/27. ??

My bulldozing should be pretty close to that already. I want to see if I have that rise in the correct location on the runway. I may need to steepen up the rwy26 climb to the top of the rise. The rwy08 side of the rise may be fine.

same here.., the site requires an account at basic or pro level...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I can't start FlightGear right now, but when I fix it I'll let you know ;)

I just built with your HGT file - I'll upload it to GitHub so you can try it. Once it pushes, will be at https://github.com/legoboyvdlp/Jersey-fg-CustomScenery

OK, I'll see how it turned out. Good luck with your FG start.

I wish somebody would port the TerraGear program to Ubuntu.

Scenery looks nice, but elevation is all 0 for the whole island

Something must have gone wrong in the build. Every app I have shows the hgt file is correct.
I'll take a guess that TerraGear did not find the new N49W003.hgt file.

EDIT: The scenery elevation isn't all 0's here. It took the "flat" grading I did, but the new N49W003.hgt was apparently not used.
You need to download the new N49W003.hgt file. It has the new gradients that has the rise in the runway.
http://www.prolectron.com/flightgear/N49W003.hgt

Looks like I got the airport almost exactly correct in lat/long. Now if the runway had the rise. The cliff on the west end of the runway looks great! It needs about 70 meters more runway level at that end, but I'll take care of that later when I do the runway gradient edit. The new N49W003.hgt should put the rise in the correct place.

Ok - its looking nice now - thanks!

If you could make two rises in the runway such as here it would be even better:

One thing - I still need to know why the runway has no touchdown zone markings.
