Beechcraft 1900D

I like the instrumentation on the 1900D, but I can't get it to fly. What's the secret?

can you be more explicit? what do you mean by "can't get it to fly"?? it was one of the first craft i flew when i found FG... it was one that i first made a (non-distributed) livery for... one of my first foray's into modding craft in FG...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I can't take off on the level and climb smoothly. I haven't tried the AP yet.

i don't recall if it has counter-rotating engines/props... if not, there'll be some P-factor to deal with just like the c172p and other single engine craft... i'm not sure about your "climbing smoothly" problem, though... i did use the AP most of the time when i flew it... haven't been in it in a while... i think the last time i looked, i had like close to 50 hours in it but that was before 2016.1.0 was released...

Thanks! Pretty tricky lady, but I'm liking the flight dynamics now.

Sudden conversion then!

Very easy to fly except it's a bit unstable when flying upside down.
Forget the Auto Pilot get hands on experience.
Try take off and landing at CA59 Little Hands airstrip. If you can do that
you've definitely mastered the B1900.

Hi, will there be any improvement made to this aircraft in near future?

What are the improvements you would like to see specifically? Maybe some of them are trivial to implement.

Even if this topic is approaching three years old i think it is still relevant. It would be cool if the flight model received some tweaking and change.
