G940 firmware - some new fixes

Postby fred41 » Mon May 13, 2019 6:46 pm

I developed a patch to fix some old flaws of the G940 flight systems firmware (based on 1.42).

You will find detailed informations about all improvements and the patch itself here:

Enjoy :)

Are that about the infamous hysteresis issues?

... yes, this and some other flaws.

You find more details in my github repository (see link above) and a little bit discussion here:

FlightGear in itself probably does not have any support for force feedback, it would probably need someone to spend at least a couple of weeks making some experimental code. I do not think I have seen properties for control forces, which would be needed to drive force feedback devices. This is probably due to that force feedback devices are relatively rare.

tl;dr: Force feedback devices are rare, FlightGear probably do not have software needed to drive them, hence few if any aircraft are set up to support force feedback devices.
