Clouds LOD

Hi,

I sometimes get things like this:
Image

Then, when I zoom in, I get this:

I believe there is some property that you can adjust to fix this. It doesn't seem to be cloud visibility range in view > rendering, and advanced weather visibility just increases visiblity of the rainshowers, but not clouds. Can anyone remember what property I should be using?

Talking of strange effects, lots on my buildings are green and just took this at airport, not seen this before. I've used all sorts of different settings but can't get rod of black/dark green buildings.

I think that's random trees and aliasing or transparency not working properly just off the top of my head, not too sure how to solve it though.

Hope someone else can. I've adjusted numerous settings whilst flying but nothing worked. Is aliasing or transparency in my graphic card settings or in FG

Antialias is in FG. But main graphics setup is in card driver. Some combination of that setups can make this weird things. Try turn off antialias in FG and set graphics driver to maximum quality and test again. Some AMD cards had problems, but I'm not sure with transparency or menu and dialogs texts.

Sorry to be a pain but where do I turn it off. Is it in the FG Run menu or elsewhere. I have a Nvidia 1660 card. I looked on FG conflicts page and it isn't mentioned my drivers are latest (April).

Turn random vegetation off in view > rendering first to confirm it is indeed vegetation maybe? Thanks!

I had already done that. It is vegetation at times you can see the trees actually in the blocks. I used all the different settings from low to ultra high and whilst the mass increases with ultra high the blocks are still there.

Flightgears antialiasing is in the launcher:

Settings tab-> Rendering -> Anti-aliasing dropdown - try setting it to off

The Nvidia driver will also have a setting for FSAA (Full Screen Anti Aliasing) - in the driver control panel somewhere (sorry I don't have a windows box with nvidia to tell you exactly where)

Yeah - it could be something in the antialiasing thats casing the trees to appear as blocks - they are very basic shapes with a texture, and you're just seeing the shape with a green texture

I am flying at the moment but changed FXAA in Nvidia, no obvious difference, when I finish this flight shortly I will alter the other setting.

Great news I switched it off in settings and the trees look like trees. I switched FXAA back on and it has made no material difference. Thanks again for the help.

so it was the anti-aliasing setting in FG?
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
