Good day,
as Keflavik (BIKF), Iceland seems to be coming up as the next default airport for FlightGear (viewtopic.php?f=42&t=35814), I'd like to see whether we can get a team together of people improving this island to make it present the best we have when starting up for the first time ;).
I already have an improved terrain version (mostly new layouts and some OSM stuff for landcover) laying around on my harddrive that I am probably going to upload to git soon. What we would need (besides better terrain data, if we can find any, although I think this is currently already very nice) would be objects for as many airfields as we can and maybe some material improvements (e.g. airports still look quite different to what they look IRL).

[EDIT] at least all aerodromes are now rated to have an overview for the work

Please report any missing airports and maybe it would be good if people also reported the airports they are working on, so we don't get duplicate efforts.

For airports with layouts that need improved I can if you like pull the gateway layouts and remove polygons (convert to taxiways), etc, clean them up for genapts850? Or did you mean they need improved in the gateway?

I meant ones that seem to have potential in improvement in the gateway, but would need to check for each, it's only a rough overview

I can make small airports with shared models. But someone would upload it to terrasync.

OK, tomorrow we (me and CSAADAM) will start with airports that has good ground layout.

Update from me: I have generated all of Iceland with all airports (BI**) now. Will now start to look into improving layouts etc. with WED and will be uploaded to https://github.com/D-ECHO/Iceland soon

D-ECHO - download from https://github.com/BAWV12/Iceland and add that airports to Your Icelnad project please. All airports are developed from shared models, in this case I did not used any Airbase Pack models.

Hmmm, no very great work, only very basic layouts, some of them with only 2 objects.
No, I did not uploaded it to TS, because some objects have adjusted elevation and I don't know how do it for ehm, not ideal ehm ehm terrasync mass uploader...
