T Flight Hotas X sensitivity

Postby VicMar » Wed May 15, 2019 8:48 pm

Hi,

Can anyone tell/show me how to make the Aileron, Elevator and Rudder functions on my T Flight Hotas X less sensitive?

I'm getting nowhere fast because the slightest movement of the stick makes so much difference to these 3 controls. My aim is to become a bit more proficient with helicopters in FG.

Thanks in advance.

Helis are just super difficult with a joystick, no way around it. Best you can do is release the screw on the bottom to give you a maximally "loose" feel on the aileron and elevator axes; the rudder axis you can't change though. But you do need the full range of the stick, and using a nonlinear axis mapping doesn't make sense because you want the same sensitivity across the full range.

For fixed-wing aircraft, I've found the Hotas X to be perfectly fine, it works better with more resistance though, otherwise you'll easily overbank.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try to see any difference.
