We've decided to kill the "X" off the end of the IDG-PA28. This change should be live shortly. Please update your remote via GIT and rename the folder. Thanks!

Josh

ATTENTION!

Who here wants to test the new Warrior 3D models? This also will include rewritten systems and instruments! It isn't quite ready yet, but if someone wants to let me know if they want to test, I would appreciate that!

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hi Josh, i have updated the PA-28 but FG can't start with it. Looks like there are a problem with your editor for xml files.
In some files there are lines like:
Code: Select all
<<<<<<< HEAD
        <system file="crash-and-stress"/>
=======
        <system file="crash-stress"/>
>>>>>>> 495d4bce16bec936dbd5f97e372080ed9230232e

That's a merge error from git.

Best just to recline the repository unless you feel like manually fixing it?

It looks like you somehow went out of sync with my repo as no such things in my git. Weird?

I don't know why or how to fix it, maybe reclone from my repo?

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hi Josh,

Looking good. Do you know if the "real life" aircraft's front wheel has the same locking feature as the c172p, where it turns until it is off the ground and then locks into place? We have that modeled in the c172p for reference.
Also thought I might make the interior shadow cube for you when I get a chance. I use Richard's Blender script for it which makes it a breeze to do.

Hi Wayne,
I have no idea. From inside the cockpit, I don't know of any way to check. I will do some research into it. I use a custom steering system to take into account sim-only events, so I'll make a custom lock system if that happens.

sounds good. But I'd wait till the 3d is relatively final as there is still a few mesh things that will be fixed/changed.

Kind Regards,
Josh

I installed the aircraft via your hangar (not git).
Anyway, will try to uninstall and reinstall it.

Keep in mind that the hangar file has changed and must be changed or it will not be updated. I probably missed it at some point, and fixed it, but the hangar never updated.

Updated every 6 hours hosted by DJgummikuh (big thanx to him!)

IMPORTANT: IF YOU WANT TO TEST THE NEW 3D AND NEW DEVELOPMENTS YOU MUST USE THE "3d" BRANCH IN GITHUB! The "master" is not updated anymore except bugfixes. When "3d" is ready, it will merged into master.

Also - I made the GTX327 works now. Anyone free to use it when its done.
Image
It integrates with the FG transponder system so ATC and MP will work properly. It also will import code from the radio dialog, but not mode.
It switches to "night" mode and "day" mode automatically like the real thing! It also simulates startup, selftest, and failure.
The font is not quite right, but I couldn't find a better one because I suck at textures and stuff. Anyone is welcome to contribute and fix that!
I did NOT use Canvas because I didn't think its worth it for this instrument and I don't have a font to use, so AC/XML method is using.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Reinstall doesn't help. I download now the 3d-Version from your git repo.

OK. Then I am 100% sure that is due to the old hangar catalog you are using. It must have stopped updating on a broken revision and I didn't notice. DJgummikuh setup the new one now.

But yes, use 3d pls - but understand it is wip.

Kind Regards,
Josh

The 3d version runs nice and smooth.
Fantastic modeling!

Thx for this great aircraft.

Awesome. Thanks Sascha! I hope you will love it even more when its ready for merging.

Wayne, i just did some checking, looks like the PA28 has no wheel lock because the pedals are connected via rods, not bungees like the Cessnas. Hence the wheel moves in air :)

Josh
