New build 2019.2.0 does not allow airport parking selection

Postby ORZMUD » Thu May 02, 2019 2:26 pm

I re-build from source last night and noticed when running fgfs --launcher:

1. Selection on Location, it showed the option to select either runway or parking location, however
2. After clicking on "Fly!", the airplane was located on a different location in the airport.

Restarting didn't help.

Today I removed ~/.fgfs and re-launched fgfs --launcher and noticed:

1. The new airport Location screen does not have the option to select Parking, only runways.

Is this a proper design change or a bug?

Screenshot of the new screen (I don't have one from before):

Hi,

This is bug, I think. I hit the same issue a couple of days ago. I've got a fix in the works, so it should be fixed shortly :)

Thanks for confirming @stuart.
Are you planning on posting an update when the fix is ready or should I just wait a couple of days?

I just re-build from source and noticed the launcher is now showing the parking selection again, however when selecting one parking location and clicking the "Fly!" button, the airplane is placed in a different location, not the parking selected.

On the logs:

I've just pushed a fix for this: 1d1096d6f7a514722f1728d59b26103562253a1d

https://sourceforge.net/p/flightgear/flightgear/ci/1d1096d6f7a514722f1728d59b26103562253a1d/

Please test and let me know if there are still problems.

Just rebuild from source, it is working now. Thanks @stuart!

Interestingly, I noticed the previous change date for this file is way back in 20180902.
I was flying without the problem with the same version up to 20190501. I guess somewhere else in the code pushBackWaypoint was cleared?

Excellent. I'll close the ticket.

I think it was caused by a change made 09/04/2019 to stop AI aircraft being placed on top of user aircraft..
