tdammers, My apologies, I meant impossible for me to fix. I am not known YAsim's way of doing things since JSBsim is my area.

Kind Regards,

No need to apologize - what I was trying to say here is that while it would be technically possible, it would be quite the effort, and the solution wouldn't be very good.

When I changed sfric from 1 to 0.5 and dfric from 0.9 to 0.4, I obtained braking time 38 seconds what is 1800 meters of distance and almost 2 .5 m/s2 deceleration, much more realistic value. Probably, values 0.6/0.5 for sfrict/dfrict should be correct.

FGaddon has been updated with realistic dynamic friction, making braking and stopping distances more realistic.

Dear Isaak,
I have some fixes to the trim system of the FBW + some high/low speed stability, and improvement to liftoff behavior coming soon. After that, I think its ready for trunk, and then perhaps into 2018.3 release if you approve? Thank you!

Kind Regards,
Josh

Re: Announcing NEW Boeing 777 'Seattle' - Pre-Release

Hi Josh, I just gave the 300ER a quick ride (takeoff, short low altitude manual flight, approach, landing).

The roll compensation works really well, I almost didn't have to touch my pitch control. Also the roll protection is a very nice tool to maintain a nice coordinated turn and end a 360° at around the same spot (when no winds involved).

After takeoff behaviour was visibly better, the plane didn't have the tendency anymore to pitch up too much. Also the behaviour at/after touchdown pitch control feels much better, no more sick passengers because of the rollercoaster motions :)

Modifying the pitch trim speed setting in flight worked very well. It would be convenient if you could add a FBW indication on the PFD for it, as PMDG seems to do as I saw in the video you shared. It's very difficult to know what trim setting you're in otherwise. Is that feasible or not? It could be that it's perfectly flyable without it, as I was very focused on the trim-spd property while approaching and missed some visual reference to easily compare it to my IAS, but if I would not look at it I probably wouldn't miss it I guess.

Very nice work again, well done!

Dear Isaak,
Thank you, I am glad you like it! Please note the roll compensation is still not FPA wise, it's kinda improvised. I have to still think about exactly the best way. But it does compensate theta angle loss in turns.

I tried to add an indicator, but the relative paths in the .ac files are not load and removed by my AC3D. I will might have to do find replace a bit to prevent it. I will try again. But we should make it an option. I prefer trimming by feel, and don't want to cheat ;) but it can be hard to tell in the sim.
So I will make it an option in a gui that is written to disk and saved between sessions.

Kind Regards,
Josh

That looks like the right approach. I think I will not use it either, but it might help pilots to get the initial "feel" :)

I 'm really stunned about the depth of your work again, keep on rocking! ;)

Thank you Isaak! I'm actually surprised I got it working in YAsim at all...

I also designed it that if a JSB comes along, can easily be ported over.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Dear Isaak,
I am ready for the current GIT to go into FGAddon trunk, I await your go ahead and I'll commit (as you are the maintainer)

Do you wish me to do into the 2018.3 and 2019.1 stable branches aswel, or just trunk?

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hi Josh, you can commit to all three branches. I didn't commit my last commits to 2018.3, as I assume 2019.1 will be out soon, but if you want you can commit to that one too. Thanks for your work!
