That job lacked of license declaration by author. Along the years, several times he have tried to contact author David Caicedo. No answer.

Hmmm, strange. Based on basic principe of the democracy - What is not forbiden, that is allowed - his work should be usable without any licence. And when author want restrict usage of this work, he should specify some licence.

Actually, no, it is the opposite:

Code: Select all
When you make a creative work (which includes code), the work is under exclusive copyright by default. Unless you include a license that specifies otherwise, nobody else can copy, distribute, or modify your work without being at risk of take-downs, shake-downs, or litigation.

In my coutry (Slovakia) is other law - if You publish something and do not specify licence, everybody can use, copy, modify etc Your work without any restriction for noncommercial and commercial use. If You want restrict usage of Your product, You must use appropriate licence type.

That's odd since I thought Slovakia was a signatory to the Berne treaty which guarantees automatic copyright. :?

Anyway the only reason I said that was to avoid trouble for you in the future but if that is the case maybe it will be fine?

This is democracy. You have many options how to protect Your property. I have not problem with licence or rights for that new airports, reuse, rework or remodel, all is alowed :)
