Hello,
Could anyone help me for choosing a joy stick for FG?
Thanks,

most any USB joystick should work just fine... the real questions are
1. what do you want your joystick to do?
2. how much do you want to spend?

personally, i've been enjoying my T.160000M... it was ~$50US-$75US IIRC... others prefer to use yokes with throttle quadrants and pedals...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

the T-16000M seems to do that very well... it also uses gauss effect sensors instead of potentiometers to detect movement so there's nothing there to break or wear out as far as the stick's positioning sensors go...

The 1600M is somewhat expensive. The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is much more affordable, and while I have never used it, it seems to be fairly good.

Logitech 3D extreme that I had wasn't good as the pots wore out so that eventually it was very jittery around the center position and had an unequal displacement from left to right. Replaced with T1600M and it's so much better.

I do remember trying a couple once when I was visiting somebody and the Logitech was fairly good compared to another one... But of course, that would have been in almost new condition.

But certainly, the T1600M is a great stick... It's just somewhat.. pricy. Not quite as bad as the Warthog HOTAS ;)

Logitech 3d extreme pro has a good feel; the springs are just about right. It's just a shame that it wears out. Probably good for about 12-18 months; but hall effect sensors are way superior which is why I got the T1600 (and the G940, but that's another story).

About the Logitech... I'm using one, and along with zero centering force about the center, it also maxes out ~3/5 of the way through. Very wierd.

It works fine in practice tho.
There are free alternatives to (almost) every program you encounter. You just have to find them.
