Halon - both installed and hand-held extinguishers.

And if unchecked, the fire will gradually fry everything inside the avionics bay (actually it took me quite a while to compile a list of what is in what bay, but I think it's mostly sorted out now).

For sure, I will have a look to Fire checklist now ;)

Hi guys,
I am seeing weird stuff from 4k of altitude in Earthview (outside the Shuttle this time). For instance, although these pictures look fine:

https://forum.flightgear.org/viewtopic.php?f=87&t=35078#p340073

in realtime, I am seeing very fast moving grey and noisy patches over Earth. They look like a succession of white and black triangular stripes confined within a small and transient patch, frequency of appearance and disappearance is fast, maybe it is at the same rate as the FPS.

I'll try to do a movie, but that is not easy!

Cheers,
Chris.

Save your video program the trouble - I know what it is - it's z-fighting between the cloud layer and the ground layer. The numerical accuracy of the renderer isn't good enough at this distance to see what is the uppermost layer.

LEO targeting is being equipped to handle rendezvous problems - here's a relative motion plot with chaser and target initialized in the same position but slightly different speed.

Very nice :)
What are the Units used in the graphic?

I tested a lot of kind of failures, love the SM alert and all the sounds

Ever wished for the ultimate HW to run the Shuttle sim?

Stafford Air and Space Museum got the NASA fixed base simulator

- and I've just been contacted by the company preparing the exhibit about how the FG Shuttle can be rigged to drive the displays and external visuals.

I guess that'd be the ultimate way to enjoy the sim (I am so envious - I wanna fly this...)

 You know I am only 4 hours away if they should need anything, say a few switch requests  or on-site testing. I'm definitely going to make a trip once it is up and running.

I was actually wondering whether you might be able to go see it (and take pictures and such...)
