You would not normally expect a Harrier to be on the roof of a hangar I suppose

After arriving at the gate

Nividia's texture filtering makes a huge difference.

No stretching or bluriness (but some mesh problems - which CaptB's new model will fix :) )

Ubuntu test 2018.3.1. final :
Inconsistency in the weather system - rain from the clear sky :

If powerline poles should be dense as on this screenshot, don't use it in render settings :

Honolulu mesh problem ? Too steep hills and roads :

Missing MP rendering effects solved :

Overal performance is significantly higher than previous version. Probably, wrong rotated clouds has been fixed in the Linux version, I was not able reproduce that bug.

Probably just in your rendering settings - you can reduce cloud rendering range to near zero, but rain sheets aren't clouds, so they're always rendered. FG settings aren't fool-proof, there's usually a combination that looks weird.

It was first, what I checked :) 3D cloud visibility limit 150 km, standard cloud visibility 250 km for testing purpose.
2018.3.1 is very fast, can render random buildings with density 10 without significant fps drop and scenery looks even better. Perfect job !

Then we're back to another weird thing you're likely doing in your config - it worked perfectly fine in my tests with the release (and the underlying AW code hasn't changed in ages, so there's no mechanism for a regression).

Maybe a conflict between 3D clouds enabled in the view > rendering menu and 3D clouds enabled through advanced weather just at a wild guess?

my understanding is those two use the same property for the 3D clouds... so no conflict there, IIUC...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
