I am playing on a pretty average Linux laptop.
So far I had no issues, when I try to click on fly. Though I did notice some occasional crashes, during longer flights (KMIA to SVMI) was one of such flights. It just crashed to desktop and that's it. I have been of the impression, that the reason is that the laptop cannot handle all the workload and FG just crashes. Modern systems are designed like that. Before it comes to a system crash, they terminate the culprit. Before the crash happens, there is some significant lag happening. At times it fixes itself, at times it crashes.
I have seen that your MacBook has some specs similar to my laptop, like RAM, etc. I would recommend lower settings to minimum and see if it works this way for you. Also I would use the default renderer. Don't use Rembrandt. See if that works. Oh, and in case you did not: Try to activate full screen option from the launcher, so the flight starts full screen directly and you don't have to switch to full screen after loading. That has caused some freezing (screen turns black and stays that way) for me as well.
I hope this helps. I have checked the log roughly you attached, but I did not find anything special. Then again I am no FG developer...
