Hello, In the next 3 days, I'm will doing great updates, I'll be reporting tomorrow. New things are new wings, new winglets and cockpit improvements. All this was almost done, but the aviation school was taking away a lot of my time. I already have free time, be patient, it will be worth the wait.

I'm about 50% done with the merging of the other models. I do apologize for delay, been VERY busy.

Hi guys,

I'm testing the last version from git repository. The autopilot seems not to be working, is that correct or there's special procedure to start it ?

Btw, congrats the works looks very nice.

Hi,
To confirm, you got the 737-800YV, not the 737-800?
did you get it from FGMEMBERS or YV3399?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi,
What is wrong with the AP? What exact buttons are you pushing, that I can tell you if something is wrong.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Set and activate Route Manager (KLAX to KSFO-28R)
Set altitude to FL330 and heading according to runway, speed 200Knots
Set A/T ARM to ON
Press VNAV and LNAV buttons (none of the are selected/green)
Takeoff and above 1500ft, stabilize and click on AP CMD A to engage autopilot, the autopilot button is green but not controlling the aircraft.

Hi,
VNAV button is not available (yet)
CMD A won't cause servos to engage unless the modes are engaged. You need to set an initial mode, that might be TOGA, which sets the takeoff Roll Mode. Or another.

You should be able to arm LNAV on the ground though, I'll double check that.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Is this plane alive, or development has been abandoned ?
I made small test with PMDG and this one. I tested time needed for the barell roll at 250 kts to meassure roll rate. 737-800YV do it in 13 seconds, PMDG almost 19 seconds. Pitch rate from -10 deg to 40 deg at 250 kts for FG 737 was 6 seconds, PMDG can do it in 9 seconds. All steering inputs in PMDG has 0.5 - 1 seconds lag. All tests was with MTOW weight.
Result - 737 in FG needs adjust moments of inertia, or control surfaces efficiency, probably both.

Is a 737 even meant to do a barrel roll?

thanks for the report. I think it0uchpods is the FDM / FCS engineer here.
