starting location is not saved

Postby bob755 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 3:08 pm

Hello,
If I set an airport location in the launcher, the aircraft is correctly located but if I shutdown FG (using the Quit menu), when I restart, the location is set back to the default PHNL.
I'm using a custom scenery folder.

Deleting the appdata folder has no effect.

FG 2018.2.1

Thanks

how are you setting that airport location? via the launcher's "Location" selection tab or via --airport=BLAH in the additional settings box?
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Via the "Location" tab in the launcher.
The --airport=XXXX in the additional settings works.

have you tried 2018.2.2? there were a few annoyances that were fixed in it not long after 2018.2.1 was released...

Upgraded to 2018.2.2 and it seems to have solved the problem.
Thanks.

you'll have to check saircot's PPA and see... there's a web page for it ;)

when saircot gets 2018.2.2 building properly, that'll be the latest stable release in that PPA ;)
