Intended to fly on to Exeter, but the turbulence was so bad I landed early at Plymouth!

(not so many today, weather too bad to take screenshots as the autopilot was unable to handle the turbulence and I had to handfly for quite a bit)

Edit - I just found out the airport closed in 2011. Oops!
Same happened in 2015:
On 9 August 2015, a Jodel light aircraft, registration G-ASXU, was forced to land at Plymouth Airport due to poor weather. The lease-holders, Sutton Harbour Holdings plc, refused to let the aircraft take off from the airport's runway, citing safety concerns, and concrete blocks were placed around the aircraft to prevent it from being moved.

Turn the overlay shader on in the custom shader settings with a version later than 2018.1 (IIRC). Be advised it has a highish framerate impact - I'd class it similar to water shader, not as bad as the urban shader ;)

I've got all shaders on, but it has no effect :( :

Should it works in 2018.1.1?

I presume you have ALS turned on?

Ah - tbh not sure. I thought I had it since the 2018.1 version, but maybe not.

i didn't realize the fps hit was that strong... i went from 15fps to 25fps just turning it off... that's while hovering in the UFO 1000ft ASL at KRDU over the tower looking at the ground at a 27 degree down angle on heading 225 true... water and urban shaders don't seem to hit me that hard... in fact, there's no water or urban areas in the view i just described...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

It's a freakin' geometry shader - they're among the most expensive rendering techniques we can use with the OpenGL version FG supports.

it is all martian to me ;) but 15fps is pretty much OK for me in most cases... anything less is painful...

Don't forget to try landing at Portland Heliport if you want a STOL challenge! (34NM from Dunkeswell, bearing 121')
