Linux: prefered scrolling method in the Launcher?

Postby eric » Sat May 26, 2018 10:55 pm

What is the preferred method for scrolling through Aircraft in the FlightGear launcher?

PageUp/PageDown doesn't scroll the list.

The smallest movement on the touchpad (synaptic) scrolls the list past a couple dozen aircraft at a time.

Clicking on the scroll thumb doesn't advance the list to the next set it items. Instead it advances the thumb to the position you click in the scroll bar.

What haven't I tried yet that might work?

Thanks in advance!

i just roll my mouse wheel...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I'm using a touchpad. Thanks.

Poor you... never got the hang of those (a mouse is only ~15 bucks these days though...)

I prefer a touchpad when I'm on a laptop where there's no place for peripherals, like on the sofa out back on the deck. When I'm at a desk, I prefer a trackball to a mouse (the Clearly Superior brand in particular). A decent trackball will set you back considerably more than $15 but is also a much better product. Nicer for flying too!
