Today's PPA for 2018.1 Unable to open ../Timezone/zone.tab

Fatal error, accept and FGcrash.

Get a copy from a friend of the missing Time table folder. Header error when unrar. FG seems to be okay, no more error from time table.

I've been running FG2018.1.1 for a week now. Today I ran the linux software updater and it did a large reinstall of FG. Now it won't start and displays the message "UNABLE TO OPEN TIME ZONE FILE `/usr/share/games/flightgear/timezone/zone.tab`. The TIMEZONE folder doesn't exist. That's frustrating, any suggestions?

Can you run "sudo apt reinstall flightgear-data-base"? That shouldn't download anything, as it would already be in your cache.

Running "sudo apt-get install --reinstall flightgear-data-base" worked and I can now load and run FG w/o any errors. Thank you for the help.

I reinstalled desktop PC with brand new LUbuntu 18.04LTS, then installed FG2018.1.1, manualy installed qtdeclarative5-qtquick2-plugin and qml-module-qtquick-window2. All is OK, I made 3 test flights with Concorde LZIB>LIMW>LOWI>EGLL without any glitch.

Before I read v12 I get another copy of the timezone folder from third party fg friend, now is working. No message and FG is running.

I have the same problem on Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS (Xenial Xerus) 64-bit

By PPA -> http://ppa.launchpad.net/saiarcot895/flightgear/ubuntu I update te new FG2018.1.1 version.
When I try to start a fly it gives me this message into a pop-up:

Unable to open time zone file '/usr/share/games/flightgear/timezone/zone.tab'

I dont know how to resolve that issue... Can someone kindly help me solve this problem?

Well, I tried to give this command line:

sudo apt-get install --reinstall flightgear-data-base

Now it works nicely!

Here, there is a copy of the timezone folder, that contains the missing file.
