I understand why most people dont use FGCom. There are some drawbacks or bugs.

1) If i set the frequency to ATIS and hit 'space', FGCom says "[SPEAK] unmute mic, mute speaker", but i hear the ATIS.
I think FGCom and FG itself work not fully together.

2) I cant change the radio with 'shift-space' in FG 2017.3.1. FGCom works only on Com1.

3) 'shift-space' works correctly in FG 2016.4, but set allways the property 'ptt' under 'com[0]' (never under 'com[1]' if it set too)

4) If you set your comms to different frequencies and there are other pilots or ATCs talking on both frequencies, you hear only one call. FGCom can only work with one stream.

I cant fix this problems, sorry. I only know C but not C++. This code is too different.

Jomo also stated that many pilots forget to say his/her callsign and he can see on Mumble who is talking.
Originaly this is a problem of the pilots. But FGCom can also send the aircraft who is talking to OpenRadar, so that on the radar screen a trasmit sign will be shown beside the aircraft. I think this will be a great help for ATCs.

Hi guys,
since a few days I'm unable to connect to itpns.ddns.net on mumble.
Each time I try it says: "Server connection failed: The TLS/SSL connection has been closed." After a few seconds it tries to reconnect and sends the same failure again. Firewall is deactivated for mumble connections. Other servers such as mumble.allfex.org work fine. When I use the mobil app it also works with itpns.ddns.net.
Any idea? Thanks for help!

Did you try to use a different/new ID?

There is nothing in mumble that would react on your 2 ID's the same way - except that you probably use for both those UserNames the same Server-IP from your provider! Some of those IPs had been blocked out because of highly aggressive disturbances from that user. To prove that You could try to visit a friend (that uses another Net-Provider/ID!) - if that works then you are using the same IP as that guy that was blocked on purpose.

Or You could try to find out on what Net-IP you contact Mumble - and tell us that ID. - then we can check.

I tried with a different WLAN connection and it didn't work too. It is weird 'cause it works fine on my mobil phone (both usernames). How can I check that Net-ID?

Since that server went down, initially for maintenance, we use mumble.zenserv.fr 60303.
I don't know is server itpns will get up, as maintainer has declared to be retired in this forum for personal reasons.

People of zenserv are working int the integration with com freq.s

Michat, The server was not down except Tuesday April 10. for maintenance. It hasn't had a single downtime since. The fact that he can connected on another network proves this -- so it is a problem isn't on my side.

I did not see those IDs on the registered lists -- so that is not it.

If you continue having problems, please go my profile and send me an email (not PM!)

Stop spreading false information guys!

Josh It seems, since Tuesday, server appears down, people couldn't get connected in days, list shown no ping information tough. I have tried today, I've removed my mumble.conf file and finally I can connect using my certificate, but in the server list still there is no ping to your server.

Sorry no email @ here.

Hi Michat
sorry I do not understand what you mean: I am using our mumble "itpns.ddns.net (port 64738)" each week 4 times (wed, fri, sa, so) without problems. See our movies on http://www.emmerich-j.de/EDDF/Films/films.html - check the users with ID** - those are the ones I used mumble with for ATCing.
No problems at all - except If some idiots come and disturb by music, sirens, dummbubble, ..., etc.

I start our today's session in about 1h - you may come and talk to me on our mumble (see above).

Please let us not disturb all customers by announcing it would not work!

Thank for your report Jommo
We were connected during shoot down, we were several people that can not connect in days. I flushed mumble.conf for that. And as I said I can connect today.

Since then server now appears with no ping or users connected. That could create some confusion, seems to be down.

Since a whole month now we have to endure a real, absolute Baby-Idiot that tops all we have encountered the last 15 years. If you want to "hear" what we mean call up:
You will hear terrible noises - then we block his incoming Net-IP - then he comes back with another Net-IP - we block ... again and again ... over hours! See in the following a few IP's he used:
    <W>2018-04-07 15:09:04.056 1 => Ignoring connection: 154.119.50.246:57468 (Server ban)
    <W>2018-04-07 14:52:12.503 1 => Ignoring connection: 188.125.175.10:33496 (Server ban)
    <W>2018-04-07 14:50:22.605 1 => Ignoring connection: 5.9.78.25:39290 (Server ban)
    <W>2018-04-07 14:48:45.486 1 => Ignoring connection: 80.211.4.187:39534 (Server ban)
    <W>2018-04-07 14:47:44.681 1 => Ignoring connection: 75.114.77.34:8856 (Server ban)
    <W>2018-04-07 14:43:05.959 1 => Ignoring connection: 89.236.17.106:52546 (Server ban)
    <W>2018-04-07 14:38:03.502 1 => Ignoring connection: 188.125.175.27:45672 (Server ban)
(BTW: With the IP plus TimeStamp we can find the Provider - that provider then might decide if he really wants such customers - and even the police may be interested to get to know those CyperCriminals!)
Similar things he tries on OpenRadar.

Right now we hope that someone knows this Baby-Idiot and is able to get some common-sense into his Baby-Brain -- otherwise we may have to stop the "free Login" possibilities and use authorized LogIns (as well for "mumble" as also for "OpenRadar" -- that really would be a pity!).

Pls help us to convince that guy to stop - prior to others having to implement technical restrictions.

With the IP plus TimeStamp we can find the Provider

Most likely, that won't get us very far. It looks like they're using some sort of VPN service, and if they have even half a brain, then they will be choosing a VPN provider that doesn't log traffic (or at least says they don't). That's kind of the whole point of using a VPN service. It's not fool proof, but as far as this case goes, I doubt we could get authorities to throw enough money and manpower at the issue to break open the VPN and find the user.

Thanks SHM for reporting another issue.

I forgot to add an exception for UDP traffic in the firewall, so that is why some were having connection problems, and not displaying a ping. That also explains why Michat thought the server was down. Since the OS reinstall/upgrade, I only unblocked the TCP, and not UDP.

Should be fully working now. Sorry that!

Kind Regards,
Josh
