Access FG variables through HTTP question [SOLVED]

I can set the variable like a radio, heading, display ranges, however I would like to know how
to use the urllib to return a variable. I was wanting to get the current roll of the A/C and tie it
into a tkinter picture roll.

I can't for the life of me remember how I did this before. I was wonder if anyone here could help.
I have a small IOS program that I use so I don't have to open some autopilot option through flight gear.

The following is my current code with FlightGear 2017.

It is not pretty but it is working I adding in the information using beautifulsoup4 and have up update on a button press.
if you do a vim diff or a beyond compare you should see the difference.
