I need to know what you are judging it by. If you are judging it based on that version of the Airbus, then I cannot take your account seriously. That version had major FDM problems.

Unless you have wierd texture problems then you have an ancient version of the A32X. Didn't the update checker work?

Also, I found some videos on my computer with clear sound recordings of the 737. They may or may not be ready by Sunday.

it0uchpods :
I downloaded most recent A32x and here is comparison with 737 :
- A320 reacts on rudder without any jerk, absolutly smooth and lineary, 737 starts turn with jerk with high yaw rate
- roll similar for both planes
- A320 changes pitch again perfectly smoothly, 737's initial reaction is significant faster, then similar to A320
IMHO, 737 has only 1 glitch - reaction on the rudder.

Okay... But:

* They are different planes. I imagine they are similar behaved though
* Did you test with FBW in DIRECT? Or else you feel the FBW not the FDM

I found some 737 rudder data, once I have time I'll implement it. But wait, I am busy.

No, I didn't test direct law.
But thank You for explanation.

Sure.

Then yes, my FBW stuff was flying the FDE, not you

Direct law tested, aircraft's reaction on rudder is normal - smooth and without jerky. I was absolutly surprised with precision of the simulation - I was able maintain height only with thrust. Absolutly amazing work !

Thanks much.

OK. I imagine the rudder response should be similar given they are a similar sized aircraft and vstab.

Once I finish up my current MD-11 FDE work I'll take a look at the 738's yaw axis.

One more thing on 737 should be tuned - brake efficiency. At Edwards AFB I made some tests :

New sounds published and released under the GNU GPL 2.0. A sound file which was used illegally, rain.wav was removed --> this file can be included in software, including commercial software freely... but cannot be redistributed, as in an opensource software.

Just some data from flight test for brakes tuning:

Test 1.
GW - 133650 lbs. Brakes + spoilers. No reversers. Dry runway. Sea level. Measure time and distance when decelerating from 136 kts to 1.5 kts ground speed.
Results: Time - 15.2 sec. Ground roll distance - 1661.4 ft.

Test 2.
GW - 138438 lbs. Brakes + spoilers. No reversers. Dry runway. 3468 ft pressure altitude(ICAO KROW, runway 21). Measure time and distance when decelerating from 127 kts to 0.05 kts ground speed.
Results: Time - 15.7 sec. Ground roll distance - 1542 ft.
Boeing 737-300. Reworked cockpit, FDM, autopilot and much more. WIP.
Boeing 737-800. WIP. Canvas PFD and ND.
Antonov An-24B. Made from scratch. Very good FDM. 3D model by Adrian. WIP.
Project Russia (some cities, based on OSM with custom objects).

I'm sure there's a free rain sound file out there that could replace it.

Thanks GabrielYV,
now, Your 737 flying really very good, reactions on rudder are nice smooth. Braking distance and deceleration is in realistic range from 3 to 4 m/s2. Perfect job.

@V12
It was a bit of a quick and dirty fixing for now, as I am currently in the hospital. It should be fine tuned a bit more. Thanks @soitanen for the info.
