Awesome! You can use managed speed from takeoff to landing, by the way ;)

Yeah, I didn't remember until I was in the cruise :)
Planned to stay in managed mode during the approach but the STAR had a few speed restrictions that I didn't want to blast so ended up setting the speed manually again haha. Eh, maybe tomorrow night if I find the time for another flight.

Okay :)
Enjoy your next flight!

Last night, I took the F-14B for a quick flight. Following FB327's suggestions and the F-14AAD-1 manual, I made one successful landing, and one not-so-successful landing :) I found out that the approach works a lot better using autothrottle to maintain a suitably high speed: 145 knots works well, and the roll control is not as "loose" as at my usual 138 knots. Or perhaps it was the alpha... I was doing 11 alpha, instead of the recommended 15 alpha, but 15 alpha and a mouse just doesn't work well! However, on my second approach I was a bit hot at 160 knots, and I just may have ripped the hook off :) Or maybe I retracted it by accident while hitting the "p" key to pause to take these screenshots...

Note the retracted hook... somehow it retracted, whether I ripped it off or not, I don't know...

It always retracts when you catch the cable, just as it would do IRL.

Hello! Can you give to me the link to download this new version of the Concorde, it still more realistic in the cockpit and on the exterior model ;)

Good trip too :D
Kind regard

Tip: pull alt knob, use OP CLB/OP DES for climbing and descending. It will get you the vest rate, and its what they do IRL. (Managed CLB is almost same as OP CLB). V/S is rarely used.

That's what I usually do but the SID chart explicitly says to climb to FL60 after departure so I dialled it in manually.

Thanks. Just checked in on the progress, all looking good so far. About to enter the track so not much to see for the next hours except water and a bit of Greenland.
