Okay, I got around to make a tutorial for the JA-37Di glass-cockpit. The plan is still to make a landing and tactical tutorial also, when I get around to do it.
Until then for landing refer to my previous entry some posts back in this thread where I give a quick guide to landing.

Version 4.300 is now released in FGAddon. It might take a day or so before you can update it if you use launcher.

I expect to within the next couple of days to make another video tutorial (#6) to demonstrate the Datapanel, TI changes, flightplans and map-areas and how to land with and without them.

As always please report any issues or questions you have.
The changelog this time is 250 items so I will just post the main changes below:

General changes
it0uchpods has completely overhauled the Autopilot. Its more stable, and works really nicely.
Key 'y' now toggle to slave flight inputs to display cursor (only on TI).
There can be 4 mission routes and 2 return to base flightplans. The active one will show up in route-manager as usual. (only in Flightgear 2017.3.1+)
Read more about it in the new readme.ja37.txt that is distributed with the aircraft. (is in JA37 folder). Or read it here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NikolaiVChr/flightgear-saab-ja-37-viggen/master/Aircraft/JA37/readme.ja37.txt
The readme.ja37 will eventually turn into a pdf manual. Its very concise right now and covers TI menus, cursor, datapanel and part of MI. Eventually it be explain more things, its more of a reference now.
Notice in the aircraft it normally use the term polygon to describe a flightplan/route or map-area.
Flightplans and map areas can be pre-loaded into the aircraft from the FG launcher, read bottom part of readme above to see how.
TILS now auto activates (if the runway has an ILS) glideslope when you switch to one of the landing modes (LS or LT). ILS can still be used manually if you don't like flightplans.
First steerpoint in plan RTB will autostart in mode LR when a mission plan ends.
There is a new livery SAF32, its bigger size than the others, so is not set to new default, else I would have. If your PC can handle it, try it out. :)
Masterarm is now a knob on right panel lower shelf.
For a select number of aircraft the radar will now only show them depending on distance and their radar cross-section. (other Viggens, F15, F14, Mirage-2000, Mig21bis and a couple others.)

HUD changes
The terrain collision arrows now stay steady on 3 secs after the alert finishes.
In tactical mode the altitude scale is now just a number.
The pitch lines now is attached to the flight path indicator.
The scales and center texts now spins around with the pitch lines.
Weapon text and ILS/TILS is now next to distance scale.
Landing mode no longer auto toggles at gear down. Use TI or key 'Y' to enable it.
Pressing ctrl-shift-q in cockpit view will now zoom in on HUD. The HUD view has been removed.
Heading bug will no longer show A/P bug.

TI color display
In menu SYST: S, L, LS (key Y), LT, OPT and LR now work.
Steerpoint polygon legs now show only the current leg, and next leg only if distance to it is less than 20Km.
In main menu MSDA all polygon legs for all flightplans are shown and map will force show names.
Datapanel on right panel next to the pilot is now activated. It can edit values on the TI display, or you can input/output various things. (see the above readme for more, or ask me)
On the display using the cursor you can now edit flightplans, click on the buttons and move the map around. See the readme.ja37 on how to activate it, or wait for next video tutorial.
Map areas are zones shown on the TI, and for editing works just like flightplans, except you cannot load them into the route-manager.

Aerodynamics
AI wake turbulance is now supported (FG 2017.3.1+)
Wave drag has been revisited, due to new performance data I have gotten. This means more drag in pretty much all regimes. Sorry about that.

See the rest of the changes here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NikolaiVChr/flightgear-saab-ja-37-viggen/master/Aircraft/JA37/changelog.txt

Hey, Leto! Thanks for that tutorial, exactly what I was looking for. I was actually coming here to ask for a tutorial on how to use the flightplans / displays :)

I just flew SVVP - SVMI via my grandparents house, following the route we take to go to the airport (SVMI)!
Went over the mountains at Mach 1.08 and treetop height...

I'll take a look at all your tutorials.

Its now version 4.307, and should soon be in the launcher.

The recent cockpit changes favors the JA variant more than the AJ(S), so the JA now has more accurate cockpit.

Added ME31 nav channel selector.
Made KV1 channel selector use comm only, and no longer KHz.
The channel selectors no longer are shown in AJ variants.
Added electronic warfare panel P152. Not funtional.
Removed A/P follow button.
Did some sidepanels layouting.
Added FR31 radio panel. Not functional.
Improved the interior lights panel.
Added PN799 ident transponder panel. Not functional.
Added half of the JA radar panel. Not functional.
Added counter-measure panel. Not functional.
Converted most of the cockpit knobs to use knob animation.
The JA data panel now look more like it should.
Data-panel in POS-OUT is now shows waypoint/airport info.
Data-panel: When longitude is 7 digits with a minus sign, the DAP can now show that.
Data-panel: Can now set REG address 00, which is max AoA the FCS will allow.
Data-panel: Can now set ACDATA address 15, which will set interoperability/Swedish.
Updated JA frontpanel.
Added 2 controls next to canopy.

Enjoy.

Great work @Necolatis ,
But I have some issues ,
the aircraft skin is totally black , even when I changed the livery , and changed some graphics filters ,
Is there some shader in the external model , or something else maybe ?
I tried with my Intel Skylake gpu and the AMD/Ati HAINAN HD8600 one no changes and no errors reported in the console .
what the cause can be ? is there a shader that I can disable?

Necolatis
In V 4.300 you have added wave drag. Is this Viggen specific or more general?

As you probably know my TSR2 is based upon the complete set of BAC´s original aerodynamic reports and as such I am unable to release it as GPL. At some time I would like to develop a GPL-able FDM that is based upon my own aerodynamic estimates and this could come in useful.

TIA

It is sadly reverse engineered from performance data. The windtunnel data is missing high speed dynamics..and a few other things.

Maybe I remember wrong, I remember now that I found some wave drag data. Don't remember how I used it, will investigate and send you a private message.

There are a set of 6 mach tables for the aerohex (Cx,Cy,Cz, CL, CM, CN) in the F-14 and F-15 that are based on one of the references (in the xml header). These act as multipliers on each of the main coefficients - which is how I've seen it modeled in at least one set of manufacturer aerodata.

Yeah, I can confirm that.

Its due to you running an old version of FG. When you upgrade to 2017.3.1 it will work fine.

I have slowly started to stop supporting old versions. Its a big overhead for me to do that.
