777 Autoland last-second abort

Postby kaptainkruger » Fri Sep 29, 2017 2:14 am

Pretty novice pilot and first time posting so apologies if this is a stupid question....

I'm flying a 777-3 and every time i'm about 50ft above the ground on a steady autoland glidescope the plane with violently bank and try to climb, I have auto-thrust set at landing speeds so dont have enough speed to climb and crash into the airport most times. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I am always bang in line with the locator and the autoland decent goes really smoothly, its just that last second before the flare that something changes with the A/P.

Any ideas on what could be causing this and what I could do differently to avoid this?

The obvious answer is land manually I know, but I've seen this autoland feature performed on some FG Youtube videos and it looked so cool I wanted to try it!

Autoland does not work in every airport, this is due to a problem in FGFS with ILS.

Are you using the latest version with my overhauled autopilot?
