I installed the Flightgear program this morning after downloading it last night. Click on the Program logo and I get a screen with a Cessna

I tried downloading another aircraft....same problem.

Can anyone help please. I had hoped it would work without issues.

Thanks.

OK... not sure.
Try going to C:/Users/UserName/Appdata/Roaming -- if there is a flightgear.org folder there, delete it and try again?

Before we track old bugs - try last stable (3.1) please.

That means 2017.3.1, by the way: not v3.1 ;)

Hi, and thanks for this.
Ok... There is no folder of that name.

By using 2017.3.1 do you mean that I need to delete this version (2017.2.1), (which took 4 hours to download), and then download and install 2017.3.1?

Basically start again....

If that's the case I'll have to do it overnight as my internet connection is pretty poor until tomorrow when I change over to fibre BB.

Thanks for any advice.

Do you have a download link for the other version please. Appreciate your help.

Sadly, having seen the specifications needed to run Flightgear, I doubt my system is going to cope with it. So I won't waste any more of your time.
Thanks for trying to help.

If your windows is 32bit, that might explain why it crash, think 32bit support was removed, unless you compile it yourself.
3GB is not alot of RAM, but if you don't go overboard with the graphics and render settings it should run fine on your system. For me it uses 0.9-1.5GB depending on my settings and where I fly.

2017.3.1 just got released, its not on the webpage yet, but you can download it here (pick the .exe):
