Awesome news, Josh...!!!

If the feeling/handling of this MD will be anywhere near your A3XX planes, then bye bye all my work assignments and productivity...:-)

to have it public in hopefully 1 week. Worst case, 2 weeks.

Why are you doing this to us!??!?
You can't show us another toy and not allow to play with it....

@Darkriser
Haha, it may even be more complex, due to the MD-11 being more complex in real life! ;)

Why are you doing this to us!??!?

Here's why:
A beta tester just informed me that if you engage the AFS (AP) at cruise, then the LSAS freaks out and starts oscillating the yoke constantly. This caused me to find a major bug in the LSAS system, not disengaging properly when AFS is engaged. Since AFS provides it's own Pitch Damping, LSAS cannot be active, therefore causing the oscillation, the LSAS may command a neutral pitch rate, while AFS commands a positive or negative pitch rate. It's now fixed (http://prntscr.com/ge3bku), but if I simply want the plane stable before I public it. If you are OK with finding maybe flight-ending bugs, PM me, I think it may be time to add a few more testers (3 right now, excluding IDG)

Bugs like this may make people very upset! So I want to make sure the plane works well before public.

And I thought I'd get the interest up before suddenly make it appearing :D

Kind Regards,
Josh

Well, I guess that if you want a toy to play with, you expect it to work well right? Then in order to play nicely with it you have to wait till it's in a "playable" state, otherwise it's not that fun right? ;)

Great! For me current MD-11 is almost perfect (most often used by me plane), I am interested in the effects of changes. I cross my fingers! Good luck!

Hi Lukasz
The changes is a completely rewritten FDM and Systems to more accurate, as well as majorly improved instruments.

I didn't make it :D

The original author is Jormapaappa1235, continued by John Williams (tikibar). (Credited in the aircraft About Dialog)

I can only do minor Cockpit 3D model, like switches, knobs, etc. If I tried to 3D model an aircraft, bad things would happen :D

I'm just doing the instruments, FDM, and systems.

Kind Regards,
Josh

"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

No, your not seeing things. Bobby is blinking. That is a rendering of a real Bobcat named Bobby. My mother's family raised 3 pet bobcat kittens when they were young growing up in the Mojave Desert.

Hi,
I just majorly improved the Canvas EAD: See the new "rolling" digits. Thanks to Richard for helping to get the clipping working!

Looking forward to making some liveries for it. :D

Anyways, if I recall, its easier for an MD-11 to bounce on landing than other types of planes. That should make determining what is a legitimate bug and what isn't a little more challenging. Hopefully you won't get too many complaints about landings ending in disaster like FedEx flights 14 and 80.
