707 Landing Bug

Postby Bulldog 1 » Tue Aug 22, 2017 9:51 pm

Hello, I haved a problem with the 707's engines, and you guys helped me to solved it, i flyed good, but, at the landing, something goes crazy, after I touched the ground, the engines go fire, the nose go broke, and the flaps too.
It was a landing REALY soft at LXGB (Gibraltar Airport) And trust me when I'm saying that it was soft, because I saw the replay and It was REALLY REALLY soft.

I saved the replay because somebody may like to see it.

Just let me know if you want the replay and i will send you the download link to mega (I upload it).

i'd like to see it, please... i'm guessing you're talking about the flighttape?
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

The 707 has been known for bursting into flames easily, afaik:

- Hitting or passing a scenery prop too close to an engine (i.e. a ground sign)
- Ground bumps (some airports having an invisible step in some taxiway)

None of those should happen in the middle of a runway though

it says something about needing a decryption key and to contact the creator of the link...

got it that time...

EDIT:

it is funny... i loaded up and didn't do anything other than to load the flighttape which puts us in the air flying along... there were some warnings (ice settings and similar) that i was able to take care but one i haven't found is where to set the "cabin pressure expressly"... i finally found the button to turn off the alarm horn but i haven't found the control to set the cabin pressure... i'd say that the craft needs a bit more love so that it saves these and some other settings in the flighttape... that way when the tape is loaded, the settings are done automatically...

so far, it looks like a decent flight :) other than the cabin pressure problem

EDIT2:

i think i see what happened... you touched down quite nicely and when i was expecting the reverse thrusters and brakes, the nose of the craft went up into the air and the main carriage broke... that was the end of that flight... i don't know what you did in the cockpit that could have caused that... but, you had also just crossed that roadway in the middle of the runway so it could be like someone else said and that you hit a ""bump"" in the road which caused the nose to bounce up and the main gear to break... i don't know but i'll look again and see if i see anything different...
