Hello
I would like to see the answer at this question above: How to unlock the rotor brake of EC130 of fgaddon, and how to make active the start switch?

Use CTRL-c to enable the yellow hilites...

1. on the rotorbrake handle, there's a little switch... click it or use ALT-r... move the rotorbrake to zero and lock it again...
2. autostart is disabled until you've done the startup procedure manually five times...

Recommendation: use the checklists and tutorials...

[aside1] AltGr? what's that? on a US keyboard, would that be the right ALT? [/aside1]
[aside2] for some reason the rendering filters don't let me use night or infrared vision so i can't even see the console when it is dark :( [/aside2]

PS: getting the engine running isn't that hard... the worst part is not knowing where the buttons and levers are... especially with no interior light to see by... i haven't found an interior light knob, yet*, but this is my very first time in this beast ;) the tutorials are very important however, i haven't found how to stop the craft from rotating on the ground after getting the engine started...

* found three and cranked them all the way to max but still cannot see the dash...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Thanks for answering, wkitty, but I have already tried, and the rotor brake refuses to move, while all other controls are OK
I had no worries with 2017.1, and this problem exists since I am on 2017.2. I had to reload all helis, which are running now well. Only EC130 resists with the rotor brake

Sorry to hear 2017.2 seems to be related. I won't switch to something newer than 2017.1 soon

EC130 runs fine for me on 2017.2 - including the rotor brake.

Eureka: In the EC130 menu / debug / properties / controls / rotor, check that
Brake = '0' (double) and
brake-locked = 'false' (double)
These values were different in my menu ('1' and 'true')

Hello

The properties /controls/rotor/brake and /controls/rotor/brake-locked are the ones which relate to the rotor-brake and the rotor-brake lock.
What the shortcuts/buttons/levers do is react-to or set these properties. If you set them via the property browser it has the same effect.
/controls/rotor/brake-locked is of type boolean, where 1 is an equivalent of "true" and 0 is the same as "false" by definition.
/controls/rotor/brake is of type double, because it can be applied with differing strength.

I heard on other occasions that Alt-<any key> doesn't seem to work on Mac. That is something which should be solved in FG kernel.

i've refined my procedures a little... i have to use ALT-r for the rotor brake switch... i can't seem to find it for the mouse click... to move the brake lever, i use my mouse wheel... hover over the handle and roll the wheel so the handle moves forward toward the windshield... then there's the fuel handle and its lock... i've gotten starting it down pretty well... just can't get off the ground without rolling and crashing immediately...

that's weird because i'm running 2017.3.0 in full debug mode... i am, however, on linux using a US qwerty keyboard... i don't know anything about mac's keyboards and mice... i can't use anything that says AltGr-something so i have to find the thing to click on...

i'm guessing the separation of left and right ALT keys falls into that statement, too? i'm aware that the right ALT is used as AltGr in some keyboard layouts but that doesn't seem to work for me... i'm guessing it has to do with the actual keycode returned when it is pressed...

If I remember right, AltGr is the same as Ctrl+Alt
