Use CTRL-c to enable the yellow hilites...
1. on the rotorbrake handle, there's a little switch... click it or use ALT-r... move the rotorbrake to zero and lock it again...
2. autostart is disabled until you've done the startup procedure manually five times...
Recommendation: use the checklists and tutorials...

[aside2] for some reason the rendering filters don't let me use night or infrared vision so i can't even see the console when it is dark

PS: getting the engine running isn't that hard... the worst part is not knowing where the buttons and levers are... especially with no interior light to see by... i haven't found an interior light knob, yet*, but this is my very first time in this beast
the tutorials are very important however, i haven't found how to stop the craft from rotating on the ground after getting the engine started...
* found three and cranked them all the way to max but still cannot see the dash...
