There are free alternatives to (almost) every program you encounter. You just have to find them.

I'd be surprised (and a bit proud, I might add) if osm2city/roads.py got four levels of stacked road (somewhat) right! I think the most I had tested roads.py with during development was two levels. How does it look at lower alt? For future reference, can you please let me know LAT/LON, this could be a nice test case.

well, comparing to some photos of the real thing, this interchange looks quite okay to me. I couldn't get lower and colser to it tough, due to my lack of skills with rotary wing craft.
btw, this one is pretty easy to find, just northwest of downtown LA(anyway, if you need specific LAT/LON for some specific reason, it's -118.248789 34.062659)
