How to change message colours

Postby gkick » Sat Mar 04, 2017 8:13 pm

Hi all,

Anyone know how to change the appearance of messages, e.g. the ELT test message of the DHC6 is pink whereas the Elt message of the Extra500 is bright red. Also how to position the message .. you are on runway x one row lower?
Thanks for any hints

I think the different colours just come from using different types of "speaker". Open up the property browser (Debug - Property Browser) and navigate to "sim/messages". Try setting each one to a test message and see what happens.

I don't think it's possible to move these messages without changing the core code.

An alternative to the "sim/messages" properties is to make use of screen.nas. You can put these anywhere and have any colour you like.
