Big thanks to the people who develop this.

Bergen is a nice airport - that word has also a nice ambiguity (for pilots like me who have a strange flying technique plus wonky hardware),
the German verb "bergen" means to salvage or recover ...

Installed and running great. Thank you Torsten for all the time and work you've put in to make FlightGear a topnotch simulator.

guys, loved the new version( mainly bc that can make it for superb rflections in the aircraft bodies), but i cant figure out how to enable the OSM buildings. I'v updated the scenery several times with terrasync today, but any time i check those things about OSM data on rendeing settings(pylons, roads, buildings), nothing happens. So, is there something i need to configure for this to work?
Testing it at EGLC and EGLL.

As per usual, Thank you Thorsten, Et-Al for all you do making this great FREE software happen, More so the amount of work that goes into doing 4 releases a year...what a achievment that is!!!! More than any paid software producer would do, you'd be lucky to see 1 update every two years!!! Well done all give yourselves a big pat on the back!!
Thanks Clive aka: G-BLS01

Standard stable 2017.1.1 is not in the ppa:saiarcot895/flightgear now. But there is another PPA - ppa:saiarcot895/flightgear-edge with daily build packages, but yesterday build didn't work :(
When I tried to use stable 2017.1.1, cmake didn't build package, in the error logs I found message X11 package not found.
Now, I'm flying with 2016.4.4 and waiting, when 2017.1.1 will appear in the ppa:saiarcot895/flightgear...

There are free alternatives to (almost) every program you encounter. You just have to find them.

The 2017.1.2 packages are now uploaded and waiting for compilation.

New OSM data ruined my today flight from LZIB to EGKK. Terrain disappeared when I was on final ILS approach to EGKK 26L and FG downloaded more than 420 MB OSM data files :(
Result - OSM is very nice, but download it automaticaly via terrasync is not good idea.

 That is a lot of data, but makes sense in a way. :|

I downloaded terrain manualy from FG web, I hope my 20MBit internet connection will be sufficient for OSM. After tests, I will report.
