Dude you need not be apologetic for anything!

I flew your MD-80 and it rocks! Most impressively the engine sounds you captured with exact realism including every perspective well done! Thank-you so much with sharing your talents with us this has again made this sim much more enjoyable.

Thank you John!

The sounds you can thank @FL2070, with small adjustments by me.

I'm really glad you enjoy!

Oh...of course, @FL270 excellent reproduction and my gratitude to you for your contribution.

Josh,

Are the touchdown sounds implemented yet, just curious as I didnt hear landing in KATL, unless I just greased the landing...lol.

Not yet. I'll add them to my "work" list. But expect it soon, I'll be working on the other aircraft systems/instruments/overhead for a while. If I find spare time, I'll add em.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Excellent work! Been playing with the Autoland, works great, even in rough weather! LNAV turn anticipation is looking pretty neat too. :D

Just one thing I spotted, there's no safeguard against retracting the landing gear on the ground (resulting in a large fireball).

Thank you agough!

Glad to know autoland works in rough weather, I only have so much time to test!

Yes, I'm aware. This will be implemented when I do the hydraulic system.

Regards.

Okay a status update:

I need a break from the A320Family engine stuff, so time for more work on this plane:
Here is my planned changes for the next short time:
Fix a few minor things with the engine system (startup/shutdown simulation)
Implement proper handling of fuel switches into Panel States depending on fuel load config
Begin work on hydraulic, pneumatic systems
A nice new overhead map of text/lines/indication I hope will be available soon, and I can then add more 3D switches to the Overhead, allowing more systems depth

Also:
I am overhauling the lift/drag for the wing/flaps. They are not correct. (See the low Pitch Attitude, and problems slowing with flaps < 28)
Also Dial a Flap can be made, as I already use a custom flap system
The MCP will be much improved, as it has some realism/functionality problems right now

I am very excited to be showing these updates to you as they released. I hope to make a study level simulation at some point.

Bye,
Josh

Hey guys,

I have a question concerning the shaders and the 3d model:
Every time when flying without Rembrandt enabled, the exterior model looks way too dark and without many contrasts. Could this probably be fixed ?

Kind regards, flycanarias

Somebody just failed to pass normals, tangents and binormals to the non-Rembrandt techniques...

Yup.

I just noticed this yesterday. I recently stopped using Rembrandt on favor of ALS.

I'll correct this at once!!!

Josh

That sounds great !!!
It will make this plane even nicer !!!
By the way, if you rework the 3d model, could you make the livery system easier, so that it only contains one .xml-file and one .png-file.
When this takes place, I'll be able to do various liveries for the MDs.
Kind regrards,

Hi, I don't think I will, since the 3D is already really good, and I'm a terrible outside modeller!
If I "hire" someone to do it, I will pass that along.

I'll fix it VERY soon, just busy on the A320. I'll be pushing this fix, with fixes to engines, and electrical update. As soon as the overhead is textured, I will continue other systems.

Kind Regards,
Josh.

Oh sorry,
my post was a little misleading.
I meant that you could probably re-organize the way liveries are managed.
That's all.
And you are right, the 3D model is just awesome!!
